Bonfire night

Remember remember the 5th of November!

How about some fruit fireworks and bonfires to celebrate Guy Fawkes Night this year?

Recipe

Ingredients

  • pear
  • mandarin
  • strawberries
  • red apple
  • long-thread desiccated coconut
  • pepitas (pumpkin seeds)
  • sunflower seeds

I used the fruit and seeds I had on hand so do the same to make the plate fun and vibrant.

Method

Step 1 Cut some pear into strips and ‘build’ a bonfire.

Step 2 Slice a mandarin segment into flames.

Step 3 Add some strawberry star fireworks.

Step 4 Then give them some apple rocket tails.

Step 5 Cut an apple pinwheel firework.

Step 6 Use seeds to make delicate, flower-shaped fireworks.

Step 7 Add coconut to give the fireworks sparkle and create the explosions.
