Egg penguin

Winter is coming and that means snow! My boys can’t wait; me, I like the log fire aspect…

We made a really simple egg penguin to get everyone in the groove.

Joe loves chopping                          And there is never a problem eating!

Recipe

Ingredients

  • boiled egg
  • carrot
  • black olives
  • cucumber
  • yellow capsicum
  • oat bran or grated cauliflower

Method

Step 1 Slice the egg in half and use one side for the body.

Step 2 Add some carrot feet (I reduced the size a little later).

Step 3 And a carrot beak.

Step 4 Slice an olive in half and use for the wings.

Step 5 Frame the head with more olive.

Step 6 Then add some eyes.

Step 7 Cut cucumber to make pine trees.

Step 8 And use the half yolk from the other side of the egg to make the centre of the sun, and yellow capsicum for the rays.

Step 9 Chop the remaining half egg white to make snow beneath the feet.

Step 10 Using oat bran for falling snow.
