Salad skeleton

With Halloween just around the corner, it’s a great opportunity to make some ‘spooky’ plates.

Here’s a simple, fun salad skeleton that would make the perfect centrepiece at a gathering for any age group. Serve with some dip.

Recipe

Ingredients

  • cucumber
  • carrot
  • celery
  • red capsicum

Feel free to swap in other veges you have on hand!

Method

Step 1 Cut a skull shape from the outer section of the cucumber.

Step 2 Use a sharp knife to cut two eye sockets, a triangle hole for the nose and a rectangular indent for the mouth.

Step 3 Add some carrot arms.

Step 4 And celery makes perfect ribs!

Step 5 More carrot for the leg bones.

Step 6 Then some cucumber hands and feet.

Step 7 Add a little capsicum heart and he’s ready to serve.
