Apple yachts

Apple yachts

Apples are in season so gotta use them! Here are some fun apple yachts the boys and I put together.

Joe made his own plate… as Max had eaten all the first one.

  • orange
  • apple
  • blueberries (or raisins)

Step 1 Make hulls from orange segments.

Step 2 Then make masts from apple.

Step 3 Use slices of apple for the front sails.

Step 4 And two more slices for the back sails.

Step 5 Cut flags for the top of the masts.

Step 6 Then use blueberries for the water.

Step 7 And for some birds.

Step 8 Ready to sail…

Judith Yeabsley is a mum of two boys who is
passionate about healthy food for kids. Her blog
The Art of Nutrition is a popular place to find inspiration for fun, healthy, creative food for kids big and small. Judith describes her mission as “how to present healthy food creatively so it is delicious looking and impulse-creating, so kids can’t wait to tackle the plate”. The focus is fruit, vegetables and whole grains. The plates are designed to be made by the average time-poor parent, in the average kitchen, using readily available ingredients and working on a budget.
