Funding for senior nutrition research
Nearly $250,000 of Health Research Council money has been awarded to a nutrition researcher to study how diet and lifestyle affects older people.
Massey University School of Food and Nutrition senior lecturer Kathryn Beck’s (pictured) study will start early next year and will investigate associations between dietary and lifestyle patterns, cognitive function, obesity and metabolic syndrome in adults aged between 65 and 74 years old, who are living independently.
