Relax, food in packaging is safe

Chemicals from food packaging aren’t a risk to health, according to Ministry of Primary Industries data.

While chemicals from some packaging and takeaway containers can transfer onto food, recent tests by the ministry charged with protecting our food safety show it’s at such low levels it doesn’t pose a risk.
