How much fibre is in that instant rice?

Instant rice or instant rice/grain/seed mixes can add a useful amount of fibre, but the amount varies.

Higher amounts of fibre are recommended to reduce chronic disease risk: 28g per day for women and 35g per day for men.

We have compared the fibre in rice with that of a medium kiwifruit. A serve of cooked rice is 125g (approximately 1 cup). The fibre in a (100g) kiwifruit is 3.3g.
