Spiced festive nuts

This tasty nut recipe makes enough for two medium sized jars - keep one for the family to snack on and one for a gift for someone special!

  • 1 tablespoon reduced-fat spread
  • 1 tablespoon runny honey
  • 1–1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 500g mixed unsalted nuts (eg. cashews, almonds, peanuts, walnuts, brazil nuts)
  • 2 medium jars

    1 Preheat oven to 180°C and line an oven tray with baking paper.

    2 Combine spread and honey in a small pot on medium heat, until combined. Stir through cinnamon and salt.

    3 Place nuts onto baking tray and carefully drizzle with melted mixture. Shake tray to toss through.

    4 Bake for 10-15 minutes, turning nuts half way, until they are golden brown.

    5 Set aside to cool, before packing into jars as gifts. Tie with string and label.

    Variations

    Make it gluten free: Check ground cinnamon is gluten free.
