Divine apple and spice porridge
(at time of publication)
- 1 large (215g) apple, peeled, cored and finely sliced
- 1 cup oatsoatmeal uncookedX
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon mixed spice
- 1 cup low-fat milk
- 1 tablespoon honey
- ¼ cup slivered almonds, toasted
1 Place the apple, oats, cinnamon, mixed spice, milk and 2 cups of water in a large microwave-proof dish. Cook on high (100%) for 8 minutes, stirring every minute, until thick. Set aside for 5 minutes.
2 Serve drizzled with the honey and slivered almonds.
