Teacher resources

Here are some ideas designed to engage your students on how to improve their own and their families’ health, plus stimulate conversation and debate around New Zealand’s wider health issues. The content we have highlighted below is based on suggestions from teachers as to what is helpful for curriculum learning.

As you become familiar with the breadth and depth of the site you’ll find a huge range of content on individuals’ nutritional needs, the relationship between food choices and health, how to navigate conflicting nutritional information, how to read packaging, sustainability, exercise and much more. We also get many students trying our recipes and sending in photos, which we publish where possible.

We also have downloadable resources (in the Resources tab under ‘Expert Advice’ in the main menu) able to be printed as posters, such as serving size guide, label reading guide etc.

If you are a teacher and would like to recommend further content being highlighted or even researched and written, please contact us.
