Banoffee smoothie

The addition of coffee rounds out the banoffee flavours in this high-fibre smoothie, making it a perfect way to start the day. Serve alongside a slice of grainy toast with nut butter for a balanced and satisfying breakfast.

  • 1 large banana, chopped
  • ¹/³ cup rolled oats
  • pinch mixed spice
  • ¾ cup skim milk or chilled unsweetened almond milk
  • ½ cup brewed coffee, chilled
  • large handful ice cubes
  • honey, to serve (optional)

    1 In a blender or food processor, blitz all ingredients, except honey, until smooth.

    2 Drizzle 2 glasses with a little honey, if using. Pour smoothie into glasses and serve immediately.

      Hi there
      You say this a high fibre smoothie but I see it’s only 3gm if fibre per portion. Would 3gm be considered a high fibre meal? I’m confused.

        Hi Kylie, our recipes for sides or desserts get the High-Fibre badge if they contain 3g of fibre or more per serve. Due to its low kJ content, this smoothie would not be considered a breakfast on its own. Thanks for your feedback, we’ve updated the recipe to clarify.
