Chocolate slice

This low cost healthy slice is seriously, wickedly divine and sure to become a true favourite!

  • 125g reduced-fat spread
    • 3 tablespoons liquid honey
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
    • 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
    • 200g malt biscuits, crushed
    • ½ cup desiccated coconut
    • ½ cup raisins
    • Topping
    • ¾ cup dark chocolate buttons

    1 Line a 17cm x 27cm slice tin with non-stick baking paper. Melt spread, honey and vanilla in a microwave-proof bowl. Use 50% power setting for 30 seconds, stir, and return to microwave again if necessary until completely melted. Stir in cocoa powder and mix well until smooth.

    2 In a large bowl combine all the dry ingredients and pour cocoa mixture on top. Mix well and press into slice tin. Melt chocolate buttons and drizzle on top of slice base.

    3 Refrigerate for 1 hour or until slice is completely set. Cut into 20 slices. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
