    Ingredients

    Instructions

    (Stops screen from sleeping)

1 Slice top and bottom off apple and discard. Place apple on a small platter. Cut an end off cucumber and place cut end on apple. Secure it with a kebab stick.

2 Cut kiwifruit in squares. Place each square on a toothpick and attach to cucumber structure from the bottom up, largest pieces first. Use toothpicks to attach strawberries and blueberries to form a cone to make it look like a Christmas tree.

3 Cut a star out of the orange slice and attach it on top of the fruit tree. Scatter mint leaves on platter. Place at the centre of the table.

    Variations

    • Instead of blueberries, use blackberries or black grapes.
    • A star cut out of a melon will work well, too.

    HFG tip

A bowl of nuts in their shells (macadamias, almonds, walnuts) makes a great centrepiece, too — especially if you paint the shells green, red, white, silver and gold.
