    Instructions

    (Stops screen from sleeping)

1 Pour yoghurt into a sandwich-sized sealable bag and seal well.

2 Take a plastic shopping bag without any holes in it and pour ice cubes in. Smash bag a few times on the ground to make ice cubes smaller. Add salt. Place sealed yoghurt bag in the middle of bag with ice cubes.

3 Tie up ice-cube bag so that it seals. Shake lightly for about 10 minutes (best done outside and between two kids). Check to see if the mixture in the sealed bag is thick and if not, shake longer. Take the sealed bag out and rinse under cold water to wash off the salty slush. Open and enjoy

    Variations

    • Instead of yoghurt, use a cup of your favourite juice to make sorbet ice-cream.
    • Mush a banana or a punnet of strawberries and use the fruit pulp instead of yoghurt.
    • Make it gluten free: Use gluten-free yoghurt.
