Marmite and cheddar scrolls
(at time of publication)
- cooking oil spray
- 2 cups self-raising flour
- 60g reduced-fat spread
- ¾ cup buttermilk
- 2 tablespoons Marmite
- 100g low-fat cheddar cheese, grated
1 Preheat oven to 180ºC. Spray a baking tray with oil.
2 Place flour in a large bowl. Use your fingertips to rub in the spread until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add milk and use a round-bladed knife in a cutting motion to combine. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth.
3 Roll dough out to a 20x30cm rectangle. Spread with Marmite and sprinkle with cheese. Roll dough up from the long side. Cut into 8 equal slices.
4 Place scrolls on the prepared tray. Bake for about 10 minutes, or until golden.
