Berry piggy smoothie bowl

This smoothie is ready in 5 minutes and is an easy way to include fibre-rich oats in the kids’ brekkies.

  • 2 tablespoons rolled oats
  • ½ cup milk
  • 1 medium banana, sliced, frozen
  • 1 cup frozen sliced strawberries
  • ¼ small avocado
  • strawberry slices and 4 blueberries, to decorate (or use any fruit that’s in season)

    1 Combine the oats and milk in a jug. Set aside for 1–2 minutes, for oats to soften.

    2 Blend banana, strawberries, avocado and milk in a blender until mixture is thick and creamy. Place the mixture into a serving bowl and decorate with strawberry slices and blueberries (see variations).
