Endurance and high-intensity interval training not only benefit your immediate health, but could enhance healthy ageing. German research has shown increases in the length of telomeres (tiny caps on chromosomes which shorten as we age), in people who did endurance or high-intensity training. Resistance training did not produce the same result.
