Roasted peanut butter

Making your own peanut butter can be fun and allows you to make the spread to your own desired consistency.

  • ½ teaspoon salt

    1 Preheat the oven to 180°C. Spread 500g raw peanuts on a baking dish. Roast for about 5-8 minutes, until turning golden. Keep an eye on them as nuts burn quickly! Remove from oven and let cool. In a blender or food processor, place cooled nuts and ½ teaspoon salt. Follow machine instructions and process until nut butter has reached your desired texture, tamping mixture down, if necessary. Transfer to a jar. This peanut butter will last several weeks in the cupboard.
