Genetics are not destiny
Author: Healthy Food Guide staff
A study investigating the interaction of genetics and exercise in over 18,000 Chinese adults suggests people with a genetic predisposition to becoming obese don’t need to take it lying down.
The researchers found the best exercise to manage a genetic predisposition to obesity was regular jogging. Mountain climbing, walking, power walking, certain types of dance and long yoga practices also helped reduce BMI, whereas cycling and swimming did not.
