Spinach pasta bake

This healthy vegetarian pasta bake is a great source of calcium, fibre and iron. And best of all, it can be made in just one dishes, saving you time on the washing up - the perfect filling meal for a busy night.

  • 3 cups cooked large pasta shapes (eg. shells or spirals)
  • 1 ½ cups passata
  • 2 cups spinach leaves
  • 2 cups chopped vegetables (eg. courgettes, green beans, capsicums)
  • ¾ cup grated mozzarella or other cheese
  • ¼ cup grated parmesan cheese
  • Always check food labels for allergens or trace warnings before buying your ingredients.

    1 Preheat the oven to 180°C.

    2 In a small baking dish, layer half each of the pasta, passata, spinach, veggies and mozzarella (or other) cheese. Repeat layers to use remaining ingredients, then sprinkle the top with parmesan.

    3 Bake for 20 minutes or so until the top is browned and bubbly.

      Kind of boring, would benefit from the addition of herbs and garlic. Seems to be missing some instructions (like oven temp). On the plus side – super easy.

        Hi Rebecca
        Thanks for pointing out the missing oven temperature, this has been added now. Our recipes are lower in sodium than regular recipes, to keep them within our healthy nutrition criteria. If you find them a little bland, as a result, adding herbs and garlic, as you suggest, is a great way to boost flavour without adding salt.
