Nutty oat and chocolate slice

This is a deliciously moreish slice that’s a great lunchbox addition or morning tea treat.

  • 1½ cups rolled oats
  • 1 cup no-added-salt peanut butter
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup peanuts
  • ¹/³ cup dark chocolate chips
  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup skim milk

    1 Preheat oven to 180°C. line a slice tin with baking paper.

    2 In a large bowl, place all ingredients, except for 2 teaspoons of the chocolate chips, and stir well.

    3 Into tin, place mixture and press down. Bake for 15-20 minutes, until just firm. Cool completely in tin.

    4 In a small bowl, place remaining chocolate chips and melt in the microwave. Drizzle over slice. When set, cut slice into pieces and serve.

    Variations

    Make it vegan: Use Orgran Gluten Free No Egg™ Egg Replacer instead of the egg. Replace the trim milk with soy milk or another plant milk. Check the dark chocolate is vegan.
