

Spicy beef sticks with mashed potato
Ingredients
- 500g lean beef mince
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon chilli power
- 8 bamboo skewers, soaked in water to prevent burning
- 4 desiree potatoes, peeled
- ¼ cup skim milk
- 1 tablespoon reduced-fat spread
- steamed broccoli and carrots to serve

Instructions
1 Preheat chargrill. Combine mince, onion, oregano, cumin and chilli. Divide into 8 even portions. Use your hands to shape each into a smallish sausage shape.
2 Insert a skewer through the meat and squeeze firmly to secure. Chill until ready to use.
3 Boil potatoes until tender, then mash, adding milk and spread, until smooth.
4 Cook skewers for 7 minutes, turning frequently, or until cooked. Serve with mashed potato and steamed veges.
